I have always tried to look after those who just need a little help, I do this because I want to not because I have too.
I am Loyal , loving , kind, authentic and honest but without being cruel. I am also a very practical person and will work through any problem to find a solution. I always try to see the other person's point of view even if I don't agree with it. I am an animal lover and often take in those that have been abandoned.
I am a mother of three adult children and have been married twice, and if they ever need me then I will be there for them.
The other side of me, if you attack me I will fight back, if you lose my trust there is no going back.
I will work hard for what I want even if it takes years.
I was born in England but have also lived in Australia and now in Cyprus which has given me a much broader view of how people live.
I believe that no matter where you come from or what color your skin is, we should all be treated equally.
My favorite saying that I would repeat to my children when they were young is ( If you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all. And( if you don't want to be treated badly then don't treat others that way.)
Finally I am not perfect and never will be, but I am always learning and will continue to do so.
I have trained in many aspects of mental health, including Life Coach, CBT, Mindfulness and NLP, these have all allowed me to form my own style of Coaching, based on trust and authenticity and empathy . we will work through what has been holding you back one step at a time using practical solutions and taking elements from all my experiences both academic and personal that will allow you to move forward in life, knowing that you now have the skill to fall back on if needed.
By re-training the way we think, and excepting that we can change is how we move forward in life, and I am here to help you do that, but we are all individuals and so how long that takes is up to you .
we will discuss what is the thing or things that you feel have been holding you back in life, and then decide where you would like to begin .
I would also like you to think about where you see yourself in the future, it dose not have to be a massive vision, e.g. it might be that you see yourself in a new job, or out of a difficult relationship, or free from worries. what ever it is have that as your goal, as it is what you will be work toward as an incentive, and finally, Once you are confident that you have dealt with an issue we will move on, until we reach the point where you are happy to continue on your own.
Anxiety
As human beans we will all suffer from anxiety at some point in our life, this dose not mean that we are unstable or lacking in self control, it is a normal response originating from our ancestors to help us survive the dangers we faced from the predators that might attack us, but in todays society for the most part that is no longer an issue. But our minds can sometimes re-direct that instinct into other areas coursing us to see danger or threat in other ways, loose of a job, the end of a friendship, the loose of a loved one or the need to be perfect and putting too much pressure on ourselves that the anxiety/ fight or flight instinct kicks in, so how do we learn to deal with these feelings, depends on the situation, but you will learn how to stop, take a breath and then look at the situation again to see where the problem lies, and how you can then alter the way you deal with it.
This is one of the most common mental conditions alongside anxiety in todays society , and the reasons why we are suffering are many and varied, it can often come from a past experience in childhood where it was not dealt with at the time, it might be from a trauma , lose of security or partner/parent, but it can affect us in ways such as lack of sleep, poor concentration, lack of energy are all common, it feels like you are wading through mud , but with my help we can sort through what has been holding you back, so you can move on to a better future.
So many of us suffer from low self-esteem in todays society and much of it stems from the media bombarding us with images of how we should look ,feel and how successful we need to be to have a perfect life, and if we don't match up to these ideals then many of us end up feeling that we are not good enough, which can stop you from trying to get the job you want because you don't feel you are good enough, negative feelings about ourselves, which can lead to relationship problems, not taking good care of ourselves. again many of these things can come from our childhood, poor academic performance, ongoing stress, but there is light at the end of the tunnel, by re-training the way we think from a negative into a positive allowing us to see that we all make mistakes, and that's ok.
